Hey guys this is Daniel Gil. I’m a professional ninja athlete and a five time national finalist on American Ninja Warrior.
I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I have always been a fun-loving adventurer. I’m the second oldest in a family of five kids who were all home-schooled. As a kid I loved playing outside, climbing trees and participating in team sports. In high school, I began to focus my attention on new passions such as singing, dancing, and the performing arts. During that time, I also began leading worship at my home church, Dwelling Place Church. I continued my physical training as well, by working out daily on my Bowflex and practicing Parkour.
After high school, I attended All Nations School of Ministry and obtained a degree in Applied Ministerial Studies. In 2013 I began working at Iron Sports Gym with Sam Sann, where I am now the director of the homeschool program and where I train for American Ninja Warrior. 2015 was my rookie year competing on Season 7 of American Ninja Warrior where I made it to the National Finals in Las Vegas. I was also selected to compete in the American Ninja Warrior All-Stars Special, and was chosen to be a team captain on Season 1-3 of Team Ninja Warrior. I have also competed internationally with Team USA in American Ninja Warrior Indonesia.
This recognition and success has presented me with new opportunities to begin traveling and motivational speaking. This past season has been my best season to date. I am one of two competitors to beat the Mega Wall both years in a row. I am officially one of four to ever make it past stage 3 in the history of American Ninja Warrior! Currently, I am traveling, speaking, and training for Season 12 of American Ninja Warrior.
